This marching season some of Belfast’s greatest DJs will descend from the North. Making their way to the confines of Connollys for a one-day festival lineup of some of Ireland’s most discerning DJs. Kicking off at 1 pm music will flow over two spaces on July 13th.
Escape the North heralds the return of DJ & producer supreme! Mr David Holmes !!! Who shall headline a 2nd appearance beyond the law in the halls of Leap. If last year’s mammoth session was anything to go by this shall be one for the books…

Black Bones :
Also from Belfast are Black Bones. Who bring with them a left-of-centre range of the obscure, from deconstructed disco edits to ravey, driving techno. Wholeheartedly committed to their local dance scene, the DJ/Producer duo flies relatively under the radar. Press play and let Black Bones give you a glimpse into Belfast’s thriving alternative underground.
Arveene:
Resident DJ & Booker at Connolly’s… Producer / Remixer of note, 1 half of Bon Voyager and our benchmark for club Culture at Connolly’s. You know him, you know what he does nuff said.
Hewan Mulugeta :
is a Dublin-based Ethiopian DJ, making waves throughout the Irish festival and music scene. She is an avid vinyl collector of all African grooves, with a particular emphasis on traditional and modern Ethiopian music from the 60’s & 70’s.
Governess:
“Chicago born – Dublin based Governess has made an impact on Ireland’s Club Scene. She’s one-third of the emerging & talented Candy Club, has worked with Skin & Blister, Gash Collective, Woozy, and DDR where she hosts a monthly radio show. She has DJ’d in venues, clubs and festivals throughout the Country and has a monthly residency in The Big Romance.
Colm Motherway :
Cork Legend, Part of the Fish Go Deep extended family, Schull native and regular controller of the mighty Toby Hatchet sound system at Connolly’s, He’s one of our favourite DJs to grace the halls, he’s also the main man behind the respected Radio Otherway.
The Board of Works Dj’s:
The mysterious Board of Works crew hail from New Bridge and have created a following of the more discerning no-conformist club kid, who like to put their phones down when they enter the dark corners of the club. They are some of Ireland’s most talented DJs and producers who you will be hearing a lot more from in the future.. You heard it here first
