Four Four Mag X Strident Grooves X Bastardo Electrico present Alienata (Discos Atonicos)

Lineup Alienata Jamie Behan Shiv SWNY Four Four Magazine turns 10 in collaboration with Strident Grooves and Bastardo Electrico, in the intimate dark and loud surrounds of Dali Cork. For this very special event we have invited Alienata, a Spanish-born, Berlin-based artist who operates at the intersection of techno and electro, shaping a sound that is both instinctive and sharply defined. Active since the mid-2000s, her star has risen to a global scale over the last decade whilst she has developed a distinctive approach that moves fluidly between hypnotic and percussive techno, raw electro, acid pressure and UK-rooted rhythmic textures. Her sets are guided as much by groove as by tension, drawing from the emotional depth of Detroit and the rhythmic energy of Chicago, where jackin’ sensibilities subtly inform her approach to movement and flow. Also on the line-up is Four Four represantive Shiv, a vastly underrated Irish DJ, whose vast music knowledge, mixing skills, and ability to read the floor demands attention. SWNY is the mastermind behind Strident Grooves, an apt name for his insistent groove-based approach to music and his stalwart efforts behind the scenes of the Cork electronic music scene, alongside Bastardo Electrico founder Jamie Behan, who has been in control of the DJ boxes around Cork, across Europe, and further for over 25 years.
