Most club nights still run male-heavy line-ups, with tokenistic, performative shows of support—highlighting one or two women, and rarely, if ever, gender-diverse performers.
Fuck tokenism. FUCK THE SYSTEM. Room 404 is an intersectional gateway—here to showcase talent. Full stop.
This project is a response to the rising apathy, disconnection, and status-chasing in the scene. It refuses to operate under the systemic exclusions baked into club culture—supporting DJs who are trans, women, gender-diverse, disabled, neurodivergent, multicultural, and of all ages.
As gender-fluid and genre-fluid, Sleepless Beauty uses this platform to feature under-rep’d DJs—each with their own unique musical flavour.
This isn’t just a party—it’s Room 404. A concept, not a venue. DJs are embedded at the centre of the room; we move together. No fixed genres. No headliners. We are all equal in the mix.
The launch pad for the first edition of Room 404 is a secret underground basement on Talbot Street, in the heart of Dublin’s city centre.
