Taking things back to the Warehouse era for the first in a series of similar events... For those unfamiliar, The Complex is a one-of-a-kind multidisciplinary venue in the heart of Dublin City, formerly an old fruit warehouse/depot. On New Year's Eve it will vibrate to a 7 hour audio & visual journey featuring a selection of top Irish talent. In the Depot, expect the finest upfront & classic Techno [& variations of Techno] w/ Cailín [Subject] b2b Řitual [Tanz Tracks], Aero [Planet Rhythm] b2b Shannen Blessing [Rathaus], Giles Armstrong [Electricity] & Billy Spike IIland [Subject/Syncopated Records]... Powered by an L-Acoustics soundsystem [dynamically positioned stacks to create an immersive dancefloor focused audio experience] w/ state of the art lighting, live visuals/mixing & raised dancing platforms. Upstairs in the Cooler Room, we take things back to 90’s clubland by re-introducing an Ambient & Chillout 2nd room/space. Something that has been missing from House/Techno events for a long time! Sound-tracked by one of Dublin’s longest serving ambassador’s of all things Ambient, Paul Chillage [Xfm] & a special DJ/live Ambient set from Techno hero Fran Hartnett [SCART] who will accompany his set w/ live visual mixing. Complete w/ beanbags & yoga mats for your comfort. SYSTEM:1 will run from 7pm – 2am [7 x hours] across The Complex venue to include; the Depot, Cooler Room, 2 x fully licensed bars, seated & heated areas and a smoking terrace. Tickets are limited!
